Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) often find it difficult to pick up on
cues that one’s behavior is not in accord with others’ social expectations. Cool Versus
Not cool is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program designed to teach students
to distinguish the appropriateness of variety of social behaviors in a fun and engaging
way. Learning to identify a range of behaviors, from simple to very complex, and
evaluate correctly the degree of acceptability is a major step towards learning to
adjust one’s own behavior in order fit into the social world.
